Express for automatic closets cam connector insertion

The Express S2 RTA was developed for closet companies needing to increase or keep up with just in time production of closet parts.

The machine has the following advantages
to help increase production output.

1. Drills for and inserts two fittings with a total cycle time of 5 seconds.
2. Aligns cam fittings flush and perpendicular to the edge of the workpiece.
3. Eliminates chipout.
4. Safe to operate since the machine drills from below and the workpiece covers the drillhead.
5. The re-drill safety will not allow the
machine to cycle if an already inserted
fitting is detected.
6. Only viable way to insert Hafele flush
fittings consistently.

The Express will insert plastic and metal cams as well as the flush fittings by Hafele.

Popup stops align the workpiece in the the machine for accurate cam insertion. In the "A" program, which is the mirror image program, the stops cycle so that the offside stops are extended or retracted depending on which end of the workpiece is being drilled and inserted. The front stops (white arrows) can be extended when longer panels are to be processed (center switch in control panel photo).

For repeatable setups a ruler and positionable stops are provided. The right drilling and inserting unit travels laterally.

The left head on the Express S2 rta is stationary and the right head opens and closes for different workpiece widths. The brake for the right head is released by pushing the green button on the handle on the right head. It will than move along linear bearings for an easy setup.
